This curriculum guides learners through a structured foundation in Positive Value Leadership, moving from the value of leadership to personal influence, the PVL framework and the practical development of values-led conduct. Each module supports reflection, self-directed learning and the first stage of recognised professional standing in calibre and integrity.
Designed for students in the final years of university, recent graduates and emerging professionals, or others with equivalent maturity and readiness for structured self-directed online learning. No prior management role is required, but learners must be able to read, reflect, complete activities, attend required tutorials, use a laptop/desktop or suitable tablet, maintain accurate email/mobile details, and commit time across the course period.
Dates are shown in chronological order. Induction may take place before the formal course start. Where assessment applies, IOWL shows an assessment window rather than a single fixed sitting.
Tutorials: 3 live tutorials required during the course.
Tutorial dates are scheduled across the learning period and confirmed through My World and course communications.
Calibre Credit assessments normally operate within a defined assessment window, allowing eligible learners to take the examination at a suitable point during that period.
The curriculum moves from principle to practice, helping learners connect values, behaviour, influence and responsibility through structured online learning, reflection and tutorial engagement.
This module explores why leadership matters and why it cannot be reduced to position, authority or technical competence. Learners examine leadership as a values-shaped influence and begin to consider the relationship between capability, competency and personal calibre.
This module helps learners understand how leadership gains value through the values that guide behaviour. It encourages reflection on the decisions, priorities and attitudes that shape how people influence others, especially when they are under pressure or facing competing expectations.
This module introduces personal spheres of influence, helping learners recognise the formal and informal ways they affect others. It explores how relationships, context, communication and personal conduct can shape outcomes even where formal authority is limited.
This module introduces the Positive Value Leadership framework and its six Exemplars as a structured way to develop calibre. Learners consider how the framework supports judgement, integrity, values-led agency and more consistent leadership behaviour.
This module explores what it means to be a Positive Value Leader in personal and professional contexts. Learners consider how positive values become visible through conduct, reliability, responsibility and the way they treat and influence others.
This module consolidates the Foundation pathway by helping learners translate reflection into practice. It focuses on becoming more intentional, consistent and values-led in daily decisions, preparing learners for recognised standing as a Certified Associate of IOWL.
Successful learners on this assessed professional pathway receive a set of documents that evidence professional standing, Calibre Credits™ and their continuing Passport of Probity™ record.

Successful learners receive a Passport of Probity™ as a portable, verifiable record of their IOWL standing. It helps evidence leadership calibre, domains of recognition, validity and the learner's professional recognition status.

The Statement of Professional Standing confirms the learner's certified status, such as Certified Associate, Certified Member or Certified Fellow of IOWL. It evidences a public commitment to lead with Positive Values and to adhere to the Institute's Principles and Exemplars.

The Statement of Calibre Credits™ is the companion record for assessed professional pathways. Calibre Credits™ are awarded by the Global Institute for Calibre & Integrity™ where the learner passes the relevant examination and reflective assessment requirements.
